Our Mission & Vision

Mission

The center is responsible for carrying out all research and study activities in the fields of economics, social and human sciences, and thus:

  • Realization of research programs within the framework of contracts with the State.

  • Carry out, at the request of ministries, national bodies, public and private institutions, or within the framework of international cooperation through agreements concluded for this purpose, any research or study aimed at diagnosing, analyzing and studying social and economic phenomena past or present, and the performance of all anticipation and anticipation operations.

  • Carry out desk research aimed at identifying the impact of the development of technologies in areas of interest to society and its implications for current and projected impacts, assessment and analysis, as well as participate in the organization of scientific events in collaboration with economic institutions and institutions of higher education.

  • Contribute to the training of students at the doctoral level within the framework of the center's programs

  • Encourage partnership in scientific research at national and international levels.

Organisation

The center, according to the decree that regulates it, includes:
  • Scientific Council (chaired by the Director General of the Centre)
  • Research laboratories
  • research units
  • Information and Scientific Documentation Unit
  • There are five research teams: terrorism and smuggling, regional development, social and solidarity economy, comparative economy, education and family.

publications

The Center publishes the Revue Tunisienne des Sciences Sociales, which is a biannual journal dedicated to the publication of academic and field research related to university scientific research.
The Center also publishes the work of the forums and seminars that it organizes in the form of a series of brochures, ten in number, and these are respectively:

  • The institute has published 2,400 publications and 21 maps, and its library contains 35,000 books.
