"Western reception of Arab and Islamic philosophy, science, and knowledge" It is the title of the international symposium organized by the Department of Philosophy at the Higher Institute of Human Sciences in Tunisia from November 15 to 17, 2023, in the presence of philosophers, thinkers, academics, and students from various universities, with the aim of rereading the journey of philosophical and scientific thought, literature, and arts, and the forms of its reception between the Arab and Western civilizations. The symposium is organized in partnership with the Center for Economic and Social Studies and Research and the Arab Center for Research and Policy Studies in Tunisia. Professor Al-Moez Al-Shafra, President of the University, supervised the opening of this symposium in the presence of Mr. Youssef Bin Othman, Director General of the Center for Economic and Social Studies and Research, Mr. Mohsen Al-Khouni, Director of the Institute, and Mr. Muhammad Bin Arous, Director of the Philosophy Department.
